The Osmothèque

There is only one Osmotheque in the world: it was founded in 1988 because several perfumers wished to preserve and hand on the fragrances that have made the reputation of the perfume industry French.

Its founders have therefore gathered a significant number of formulae and recreated the corresponding perfumes. Having built up the collection, the Osmotheque team regularly offers lectures with themes aimed at all kinds of audiences in its Versailles facilities. It also participates in many national and international events with cultural, scientific, professional and private objectives. Of particular interest is the role it played in re-creating Marie-Antoinette's perfume, as presented at the Versailles palace in 2007.
