After the resounding success of the 2009 Festival, the 7th Versailles Jazz Festival is taking place this year from April 8th to 16th, 2010
On the program:
• April 9th: the Django Memory Quartet with David Reinhardt will carry us off from the first notes in the Django universe, for brilliant jazz manouche communicating subtly; at the Conservatoire (Versailles).
• April 10th: Mambo Legacy, the fifteen musician big-band, will carry us back to the era of the mambo; at La Batterie (Guyancourt).
• April 11th: the Oignons Jazz Band will play, sing and tap-dance in pure New Orleans jazz style; at the Trianon Palace (Versailles).
• April 12th: the Pink Turtle will revisit major pop and rock hits with creative jazz and brilliant swing; at the Montansier Theater (Versailles).
• April 13th: the Mirabassi-Renzi-Parker trio will set to music the pleasure of playing around Mirabassi's luminously pianistic performance; at the Montansier Theater (Versailles).
• April 14th: the Big-Bands from the Conservatoire and ENM d’Orsay will pay homage to the great Canadian trumpet player and composer, Kenny Wheeler; at the Conservatoire (Versailles).
• April 15th: Richard Galliano Tangaria Quartet, a virtuoso of the jazz accordion, will dazzle us with his unstoppably swinging melodies; at the Montansier Theater (Versailles).
• April 16th: Gospel Dream, a mixed, cosmopolitan ensemble, brings its warm voices full of faith to sing of hope and freedom, with contagious enthusiasm; at the Saint Joan of Arc church (Versailles).
And let's not forget the OFF Festival on April 8th, in the cafés and restaurants of Versailles, organized by Association Jazzav.
