How to get there / Parking

Getting to Versailles by airplane


Versailles is linked by motorway to two international airports and a commercial aerodrome:
To the north of Paris, ROISSY CHARLES DE GAULLE is 40 km away.
To the east of Versailles, ORLY is 25 km away.

The Toussus le Noble Aerodrome only handles business aviation, and is 10km away.

Getting to Versailles from the Roissy-Charles-of-Gaulle Airport:


By Train:

RER B to Saint Michel Notre Dame then RER C to Versailles Rive Gauche.

By Air France shuttle:

Go to Porte Maillot then take a taxi to reach Versailles.
Go to Montparnasse train station then take SNCF train to Versailles-Chantiers.

By car:


Take autoroute A1 towards Paris, then take Périphérique Ouest towards Rouen A13, take A13 towards Versailles to the n°5 Versailles Centre/Versailles Château exit.

Getting to Versailles from Orly Airport:


By Train:


RER C to Massy Palaiseau, Change and take RER C towards Versailles Rive Gauche.

By Air-France shuttle:


Go to Invalides train station then take RER C to Versailles-Rive Gauche.

Go to Montparnasse train station then take SNCF train to Versailles-Chantiers.

By car:

Take A106 then soon afterwards, take the A86 Versailles Château exit.

Getting to Versailles from the Toussus le Noble Aerodrome:

By car:

Take D938 towards Buc. Cross Buc. Take rue de la Porte de Buc, then rue des Etats Généraux to Versailles
Getting to Versailles by train

-From central Paris, RER C line towards Versailles Rive-Gauche. Go to Versailles Rive Gauche train station (5 min from palace on foot).

-From Paris Montparnasse, SNCF trains serve the Versailles Chantiers train station (10 min from palace on foot).

-From Paris Saint Lazare, SNCF train to Versailles Rive-Droite (10 min from palace on foot).

Getting to Versailles by car


From Paris, autoroute A13 towards Versailles/Saint Quentin-en-Yvelines/Rouen to exit n°5 Versailles centre/Versailles château.

Head toward Versailles, then take avenue des Etats-Unis, and, finally, avenue de Saint Cloud.

Versailles can also be reached by: A 86, and N10.
Getting to Versailles by bus

The RATP n° 171 bus runs between the Pont de Sèvres metro station and the Château de Versailles terminus.

Car parking


There are many parking lots available in all key areas of the city: in front of the palace, avenue de Sceaux, parking on the Place d'Armes, Place du Marché Notre-Dame, Chantiers... Download Versailles map with parking.

Camper parking


Daytime, at Parking de Sceaux. However, campers must go to Camping de Versailles at night: Huttopia (Tel. +33(0)1 39 51 23 61 or to the Versailles Associations hospitality point (from 6/15 to 9/15; Tel. +33(0)1 30 21 84 85).
Parking a coach

Place d'Armes Parking: located across from palace.


This parking lot has a per-minute drop-off area (15 minutes maximum) for dropping off groups near the palace.

Palace Park parking: accessible via Boulevard de la Reine. Parking available Allée de Bailly and near Grand Trianon.
Access and parking for disabled individuals

Drop-off by car and by bus possible near the H entrance, located on the palace Cour d'Honneur. Nearby car parking Place d'Armes with reserved spaces.
