The old Court House, built in 1724, is situated near the Notre-Dame market.
It housed both the court and the jail until the Revolution when it became
"Maison de Justice" (Justice house);then it was the seat
of the Assizes Court until 1938.
The building, now privately owned, has been recently restored.
It has housed antique shops for a few years.
Walking down the Passage de la Geôle, you can see on your left
the jail door which opens into well preserved dungeons.

Authorization required for visit.
